The CBC (America) Corp. Ganz & Computar CCTV arrangement is one of many closed circuit systems that are on the market today. The CBC America Corporation operates the Computar and Ganz brands, each which markets closed circuit television products. Under the current system, Computar is the brand image that is afforded to CBC America's surveillance lenses while Ganz is, ostensibly, the brand image that is ascribed to the equivalent closed circuit cameras the company promotes.

The target marketing demographic for the items that the CBC America Corporation produces would fall under individuals requiring video surveillance. This, of course, runs the gamut from retail to financial as well as both private and public sector concerns. Additionally, the company is beginning to sell a series of automotive surveillance units under the name of Ganz automotive.

Closed curcuit television cameras are offered in varifocal, monofocal, megapixel, manual zoom, motorized zoom, and pinhole to serve a variety of image capture client requirements. CBC (America) Corp. Ganz & Computar CCTV also offers a line of cameras, domes, recording devices, monitors, and housings for the aforementioned cameras. The BCH-IR3.6N and BCH-IR312NA lines have recently been released and use infrared networks while the ZC-NH258N line uses a super high-resolution camera.
There are other, similar firms. CBC (America) Corp. Ganz & Computar CCTV may face competition from companies who make IP transmission cameras, like Lorex. Such a camera has many of the properties that those made by CBC (America,) with the added benefit of an Internet interface. Moreover, traditional optical firms like Canon or Nikon market their own lines of closed circuit technologies.

These companies do, indeed, offer a similar service to the CBC (America) Corp. Ganz & Computar firm. Perhaps what is most unique about the Computar and Ganz arrangement, however, is the unified service provisioned by the company. It allows for a constant interchangeability between parts offered by the company.
